Technical Systems Audits

Technical Systems Audits (TSA) are an on-site, systematic and objective examinations of a program or project at the site in question.  These audits are done to determine whether meteorological services and environmental data collection activities and related results comply with the project’s Quality Assurance Project Plan.  They are also performed to ensure other planning documents and their associated procedures are implemented effectively and are suitable to achieve the organization’s data quality goals.

A TSA will determine whether all procedures for the associated monitoring program are being followed and recorded appropriately.  Professional TSAs are performed by an independent auditing professional.
